Gubernational candidate Bob Beers went head to head with his opponent, Jim Gibbons on the issue of raising the states minimum wage per hour. Gibbons is for the increase of the minimum wage per hour, and Beers is against it because he says that the raising of minimum wage would reduce the number of entry level jobs for young workers. He also stated that it would raise the cost of living for everyone and would mandate future increases to the rate of inflation.

Judge Bill Maddox threw out Beers two hundred explanation and he will have to resubmit another petition before he can begin collecting the 83,184 valid signatures he needs to put the matter before voters in the November collection.
